Celebrating World Happiness Day

Like fast food, many of us want our happiness instant and stimulating, only to find that we are left unsatisfied and wanting more.  Like good cooking, the secret to happiness is using simple natural ingredients, such as gratitude, connection, contribution and serenity, and putting them together patiently, to create a life that feels deeply nourishing and fulfilling.

Speakers:

Due to unforeseen circumstances there is a change of speaker for this evening. Ramesh Aurora is unable to join us but we are happy to announce that Shashin Shah will replace him and join Sister Jaymini Patel in conversation on The Promise of Happiness.

Shashin Shah
Shashin, a Fellow of the British Computer Society is a creative and influential Information Technology leader with over 39 years of experience.

Shashin has previously worked for leading global systems integrators and big four consultancies including Logica, Deloitte and Andersen Business Consulting but now runs a niche IT consulting business called “Onepoint Consulting”.

Shashin likes to manage his team more as a family unit rather than a business and strives towards incorporating spiritual values and modern management techniques based on evolving management thinking including the teachings of the Brahma Kumaris.

In 1981 Shashin was inspired to define three main objectives in his life and define what “success” would mean for him. These were (1). To be able to look after the self on mental, physical, spiritual, financial aspects without dependence on anyone; (2). To support his extended family network and (3). To serve the world in whatever little way one can in order to put something of value back into society.

Jaymini Patel
An experienced meditator and spiritual teacher who is at ease in any company Sister Jaymini continues to bring a generous dynamism to directing the work of BK Publications. Being a communications and marketing leader, she has been able to take the work of the Brahma Kumaris into a wider community both in the UK and abroad. Her life is one of simplicity yet of total dedication to the highest ideals and she exudes happiness.
